William Beebe
Een aantal jaar geleden stuitte ik op The Remarkable Life of William Beebe, door Carol Grant Gould. Een geweldige biografie over een van de laatste echte ontdekkingsreizigers (op planeet aarde). Als bioloog/ornitholoog/alleskunner ondernam Beebe talloze expedities die moeilijk in een korte blog zijn samen te vatten, maar het meest tot de verbeelding spreken zijn diepzee-expedities…
